This Privacy Policy ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (referred to herein as "you" or "your") and OneCart ("we", "our", or "us", the “Company”) for access to and use of our website available at https://onecart.io (the "Website", the “Service”) and other related software, interactive features, or downloads operated by us and that are available through the Website (whether accessed directly or through any software application). This privacy policy describes how We collect and use the personal information we receive via our OneCart Service. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" means information that can be used to uniquely identify you, such as your name and e-mail address. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

A letter from our founders

As users of the internet, we care about privacy just like you do. And as fellow human beings, we think you deserve to know exactly what you can expect from your OneCart experience. Before you read our privacy policy, we'd first like to tell you how we think about privacy in simple terms. We do not sell your personal information. Never. OneCart works to simplify the process of online shopping for you. Our company is unprofitable at this stage, but future monetization will only apply to stores or third-party organizations/partners. We do not need to (or want to) sell your information.

Personal Information We Collect

When you interact with us, we collect Personal Information that you voluntarily provide. When you create an account with us, update your account data on our Website, or otherwise use certain aspects of our Service, we may ask you to provide information such as your name, and e-mail address. If you email us, we may store your message, email address, and contact information.

We also collect Personal Information when you register to join the Service (or otherwise interact with the Service) by logging into an account that you already have with a third-party social networking platform (“SNP”) via our Service. For example, we may allow you to create an account and log in to the Service using your Facebook account credentials through Facebook Connect. If you log into the SNP via the Service, you are using the Personal Information you have already provided to the SNP (such as your “real” name, email address, and other information you make available via the SNP) to create your account on our Service. Accordingly, if you use Facebook Connect in connection with our Service, you are allowing us to access the Personal Information in your Facebook account pursuant to Facebook’s terms and conditions governing your use of the Service via Facebook. The information we receive from an SNP may depend on the privacy settings you have with the SNP, so please check the SNP’s privacy and data practices.

Our Use of Your Personal Information

We mainly use your Personal Information, either alone or in combination with other information, so that we can provide, enhance and personalize our Service and related content, products, and marketing efforts.

The following are examples of a variety of ways that we may use your Personal Information:

Collection and Use of Non-Identifying Information

We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose information in a form that does not personally identify you ("Non-Identifying Information") for any purpose. Non-Identifying Information can include certain personally identifiable information that has been de-identified; that is, information that has been rendered anonymous. We and/or our third-party service providers obtain Non-Identifying Information about you from information that you provide us, either separately or together with your Personal Information. We and/or our third-party service providers also automatically collect certain Non-Identifying Information from you when you access our Service.

Certain Non-Identifying Information about you would be considered a part of your Personal Information if it were combined with other identifiers in a way that enables you to be identified. However, the same pieces of information are considered Non-Identifying Information when they are taken alone or combined only with other Non-Identifying information. We may combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information and aggregate it with information collected from other users or sources to attempt to provide you with a better experience, improve the quality and value of our products and services, and analyze and understand how our products and services are used. We may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically. After you terminate your use of the Service, we may continue to use your Non-Identifying Information for statistical purposes or other purposes as we see fit. Please note, that we cannot guarantee that Non-Identifying Information will not identify you as we cannot guarantee that others with access to Non-Identifying Information may not have knowledge sufficient to identify you.

Non-Identifying Information We Automatically Collect

We and our third-party service providers may use a variety of technologies, now and hereafter devised, that automatically record certain usage information. This information may include your Internet Protocol address (and other unique identifiers for the particular device you use to access the Internet), browser type, your web or application request, your interaction with our Service, your interaction with other websites and online services (e.g., purchases you make at websites linked from Content), the webpage or other feature you were using before you came to our Service, pages of our Website that you visit, the information you search for via our Service, access times and dates, and other similar information. We use this information for a variety of purposes, including analyzing and enhancing our products and services and helping personalize our Services for you. We do not treat this information as Personal Information (except to the extent required by local law), although if we combine it with the Personal Information you provide, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information. We and our third-party service providers may automatically collect Non-Identifying Information using various methods, including, without limitation, cookies and application identifiers. A cookie is a small data file transferred to your computer when it is used to access our Service. Cookies may be used for many purposes, including to enable certain features of our Service, to better understand how you interact with our Service, to determine interest in particular Content, and to monitor aggregate usage by visitors and online traffic routing. You may be able to instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the online services you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of our online services or all functionality of our online services.

When you use our Browser Extensions, information may be transmitted to us. For example, if you use our Extension to keep any product you find on the web, the Extension will send us the website from which the capture/tagging event took place, the title, image, price, currency of the product, and/or additional Content-related data (e.g., metadata regarding a product displayed in Content you keep).

Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information

Your consent

We may share or disclose your personal information with your explicit consent. For example, if you were to enter a third-party contest or promotion requiring disclosure of your personal information.

Law and harm

We may disclose your personal information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security, or technical issues; to protect OneCart’s rights or property; or, when in the discretion of OneCart, that disclosure is necessary to prevent any foreseeable harm.

Third-party service providers

We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to us, like delivering email, optimizing website load times, or providing advertising or other services to our users. We may share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and provide such services.

Treatment of non-private or non-personal information

We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal information, such as your saved/tagged items, the number of users who find and tag an item, your username, and any other non-private or non-personal information associated with your account.

Data security

We make a reasonable effort to protect your personal information stored in our database. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, access to your personal information is limited to authorized OneCart staff.

Policy towards children

The website is not intended for use by persons under the age of thirteen or eighteen (13 or 18). In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we will never knowingly accept or solicit personally identifiable information from a user known to be under the age of thirteen or eighteen (13 or 18).

If you are a child under 13 or 18, please do not attempt to use or register for OneCart's service or send any personal information to us. If we learn we have collected personal information from someone under 13 or 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you are a parent or guardian of a child who you think may have given us some personal information or posted information on any public portion of OneCart's products, please let us know at [email protected]. We'll help you remove it.

OneCart reserves the right to change or modify this Privacy Policy at any time, without prior notice, by posting the modified Privacy Policy on the Service. Your continued use of the Service will constitute your acceptance of any revised Privacy Policy. We recommend that you periodically check this page for changes.
